Tonight I met up with two lovely American ladies who decided to take a break from their business trip and check out some local food on an evening tour. Rather than do the tour on foot, we decided to do a little Da Nang bicycle tour and try some places that aren’t on any of my normal routes.

Da Nang Bicycle Tour

In fact, this was my first ever Da Nang Bicycle Tour, and my first time ever taking guests to some of the places, so I was a bit nervous. But as soon as I met them, I knew Nina and Tosha were going to be loads of fun.

We started of straight away with lots of seafood, going to two different places where we had grilled oysters, grilled clams, crab in tamarind sauce and morning glory sauteed in garlic. I was delighted to hear it was the best Vietnamese food they had eaten on their trip so far. Later, we visited an old customer favorite, bánh xèo and nem lụi. It’s always fun showing people how to make and eat the rolls. For dessert, I can never get enough of the avocado ice cream, especially because I know I’ll miss it so much when the summer is over. These two ladies were great to hang out with, and I look forward to welcoming them back to Da Nang in August this year.

Want to do an evening food tour? Maybe even do it on a bicycle?
