Today I met Celine and her husband Ady for the Da Nang Morning Food Tour. Except this particular tour was unique, in that it was a Celine arranged a surprise food tour for Ady. She contacted my in advance to make arrangements for what he liked and what they wanted to see. When we got there, had no idea what we were doing!

Our Surprise Food Tour

They were an absolute blast to hang out with. They came to Vietnam to do a triathlon and were spending the last few days relaxing in Da Nang. And we did have quite a relaxing morning. We started off with a nice big breakfast, then headed to the market. Celine was weilding a camera with a massive lens, but no one seemed to mind. We took our time checking out the fresh fish, veggies and ladies chopping meat in their pajamas. After the market, we hit up two different noodle spots with dishes that highlighted some of the ingredients we had just seen for sale. Next was coffee time. Both Celine and Ady opted for black coffee without sugar, which sent a shudder of fear and respect through the waitress, but they downed theirs without even flinching. We finished the tour with fresh fruit smoothies and a few other sweet snacks. It was a great morning hanging out with really great people, and my first ever surprise food tour.

Want to set up your own surprise food tour for a friend? I’d love to arrange one for you. Send me an email, or else clink ‘Book a Tour’ and let me know in the ‘Special Requests’ box.
