Last night I had a family food tour, and they were great! Judy, Lucien, Matt and Sara came from good old Texas, in the US of A. Matt, who’s currently in college, was the master planner behind their holidays. He booked almost everything they did here, including a hike through the forest outside and Hoi An and of course, my food tour.
The Family Food Tour
Aside from being the self-appointed vacation planner, Matt was also the most adventurous eater, digging into the jellyfish salad with gusto. Mom was a bit more cautious, but came around eventually. Dad and Sis fell somewhere in the middle, avoiding the jellyfish but going after everything else. We ate lots of BBQ, which had the Texan in them very excited. At the seafood restaurant, I ordered us a bit of everything, since there were so many mouths to feed. We had shrimp, grilled clams, the aforementioned jellyfish salad, grilled stingray and fried squid with quail eggs and peanuts as appetizers. It felt like going on vacation with my own family, with everyone sitting down to a big family-style feast. Thanks guys for joining the tour!
