Photographing Food

Some people are really put of by photographing food. “It’s tacky” or “it ruins the moment of enjoying the food” or whatever. I believe those things are true to some extent, but when you see something that makes you go “Wow!” then I Read more

Myanmar Food

Just got back from a week in Myanmar. The grace and meekness of the Burmese people was such breath of fresh air coming from boisterous Vietnam. People wait in line. They stop at red lights. They don’t shout, even when Read more

Cafe Sua Nong

I’m a huge fan of Vietnamese coffee. It’s strong and bold, and the super-sweet condensed milk is the perfect foil to the deep, roasty coffee flavor. On a hot day, I love a nice ice-cold ‘cafe sua da’ (coffee with milk on Read more

A great insight into the local delights

We had been wanting to try some local food during out time in Da Nang but we're cautious as we had no idea what we were ordering or how to ask for it. Shaun took the hassle out of the experience and gave us great insight into the local food, providing us with an excellent morning tour around the city. It was great seeing the locals come alive as Shaun sparks up conversation in Vietnamese, providing another level of entertainment. Would definitely recommend if you want an informative, one of a kind experience sampling the local Da Nang delights. - Matt

Breakfast Local Style

Good food in great company, Shaun is showing you the real street food, wet markets and all the little corners you wouldn't go unless you've lived there for a while. Enough said, go experience it with my recommendation to do it with Shaun's Da Nang Food Tour...you won't regret it. Thanks a bunch, until next time! - Alex

Highlight of the Trip

You can be as culinary adventurous (or tame) as you feel comfortable. The food will be delicious no matter which way you lean, and you'll get a wonderful opportunity to sample local flavors. - Peter

Amazing Food Tour

We went on a tour with Anh and had an amazing time. All of the restaurants and food stalls we visited were outstanding. Anh was very knowledgeable, spoke great English, and was able to accommodate some picky eaters with special requirements. As the tour was in the middle of New Year celebrations, our guide was able to find restaurants that were open and met our needs. Our favorite dishes were the Vietnamese pizza and the BBQ mussels. Absolutely great night out in Da Nang! - Sam

Terrific Experience

What a delightful way to spend a morning in Da Nang. Shaun led us on a culinary tour that extended much beyond the beaten path upon which we had been treading. We happily ate a filling breakfast, excellent noodles, beautiful fresh juice made to order, strong coffee, and curious desserts. Altogether, we had a great time eating, learning, and chatting. I would definitely recommend taking the tour! - Janet

Thanks Sally

Let me start off by saying this was #1 the best tour I’ve ever taken worldwide! We sampled local noodle dishes, had an amazing seafood meal with squid, clams, scallops, frog, and stingray with all the beer we could drink, and ended the night at what Sally said was her favorite dessert place to try various local sweets. Definitely come hungry to this tour, you’ll be eating a ton of food!

Mind Blowing

We had the pleasure of being shown around by Anh, who had amazing banter, great local knowledge and exceptional English. He told us at the start that each place would be better than the last and wasn't wrong. Going off the main tourist track was a great move as it was awesome seeing how people actually eat here. We finished the tour absolutely stuffed and thoroughly mind blown. Anh even gave us the address for some amazing pho and banh mi for the next day too. A must do in Da Nang by a long long way. - Dylan
